"The Nest"

At Songbird Therapy, the aim is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are. In nature, nests symbolize safety, rest and renewal, and the office, “The Nest,” offers a grounded place to explore your thoughts, feelings and challenges.

I value and prioritize nourishment of the heart, soul, AND body, which is why I have a fully stocked drink and snack station. If you have a fave snack or drink preference (i.e. milk alternative), let me know and I'll get it :)

Here are some important details about the office:

DIRECTIONS: Songbird Therapy will show up in Google maps so you can get directions right to my door :)

ACCESSIBILITY: Unfortunately, there are no elevators and I am on the second floor. There is one flight of stairs which goes straight up and there are handrails on both sides.

PARKING: There is free street parking all around. On Elgin Ave, it is mostly 3 hours, and on Shaughnessy (the main street) it is 1 hour. If nothing is available, there is an unlimited parking lot NORTH of my office (behind the Masonic Hall and Sport X).

TRANSIT: There are various bus stops in the area and I am a short walk from the Port Coquitlam bus and West Coast Express station.

The address is Suite E 2288 Elgin Ave in downtown Port Coquitlam. Once to get to the top of the stairs, turn left and I'm the first door. You can't miss me!

Trans, BIPOC Pride Flag

I aim to create a welcoming and brave space for 2SLGBTQIA+ people, and I work from a body and sex positive, affirming lens. I believe that Black, Brown, Indigenous and Trans lives matter and that therapy is political. What I mean by this is that we do not exist in isolation from external factors. Race, gender, sexual orientation, religion and other societal factors influence and shape our experience. Ignoring this and other intersectionalities in the therapy room is doing you a disservice and I want to honour all parts of you.
